In more recent times, branches of Feng Shui have been concerned more with things like choosing and placing objects in living environments to try to create a harmonious area. The basic idea is to select the elements of a living environment such that there will be a balance that leads to a good life for those residing there. More modern forms of Feng Shui are associated with a variety of other ideas that have been classified as New Age.
